You beat me to writing about this. Great article. Having grown up in corporate America, owned businesses, and known what it is like to search for jobs past 50, America hates what they consider old people.

They hate seeing them draw retirement, companies hate hiring them, and youth mostly find them unattractive for sexual pleasure or conquest so they roll their eyes when they are forced to encounter them. There are no lobby groups for old age.

Funny thing, the aged are who run the country. There is a company called Zumiez that actually has on their application that if you are over 40, do not apply. I have seen older college students discriminated against as well. They make it clear they do not want anyone past 40 in the classroom.
