Yes. I am with you on that. I have always thought the marriage contract was ownership papers and not much else. Certainly not love. They did not start selling the love part until later when they had diamonds and wedding events to sell. I still believe checking your future husbands tax returns before marrying is a form of prostitution. I'm not judging it. Just identifying it. I believe sex work should be legal anyway.
