What happened to you and other women is horrible, an no doubt it goes on way more than it should. You make many good points as usual. I also agree that in the general sense, men are not protectors of women and things like groping or even intimidation by being in a woman’s space are prevelent.

Where I live is different in this regard though. While I am not supporter of patriarchy, I have witnessed men protecting women many times growing up with varying results.

One incident made our local news. A man was literally beating a woman like he would a man. He had her on the ground and was smashing her face with his fist. A man jumped in to save her by knocking the attacker on the ground.

The woman got up and jumped on her protector's back long enough for her boyfriend who was beating her up to hit the protector hard enough he fell, hit his head, and died. I have never personally witnessed a woman protect another woman that way either.

As for your boyfriend. Hopefully you kicked him to the curb.
