This is the same logic the slave masters used. They were willing to enter into a war that ultimately destroyed their entire civilization to be able to keep their caste system and not remove their ancient landmark.

What came after was also a form of slavery perpetrated by the American form of Capitalism which included child labor, women with no rights, fighting against common sense regulation and workers safety. The same exact logic was used to defend all of this.

American conservatism is forward to yesterday which means forward to upholding slavery, women not being able to vote, child labor, dangerous work conditions, and little to no regulation of things dangerous to humans and the environment for the sake of profit.

This is what you are advocating when you advocate for not removing the ancient landmark. Why not just admit it. Christianity does not speak against slavery. The only passage in the Bible that may indicate the God of the Bible is not for it is with regard to man stealing.
