This is a generality. In my view, trying to write about men or women as a generality as if it represents the majority of men or women rather than just a type of man or a type of woman is just another form of labeling.
People who report to surveys are also a different type of person. Most people who are busy do not have time for surveys, so the surveys themselves are not giving a very accurate representation of men or women in general. If a man wrote this article about women he would be labeled a misogynist.
Do you want to marry or date the average person or an exceptional person? Why concern yourself with the average? Marketers love the average person because they are easily manipulated or persuaded.
Few exceptional people men or women, regardless of race or culture "need" anyone. They choose to be around others who enhance their lives and whose lives they enhance. I enjoyed reading your article, there are some good point, but these thoughts came to mind while reading it.
