They are relevant because it was not that long ago, and still lingers in the minds of those involved. It is why there is so much hate. Hate goes both ways. The idea one side truly wants peace and does not hate the other is a false narrative and everyone who is concerned about truth knows it.
I have not lived there and I cannot relate to those sorts of feelings, but I can see suffering on both sides. On my end, I am always going to side with the plight vulnerable over the powerful. It still does not mean I want to see the slaughter of other humans.
Only that I can see the plight. Past outrages are always relevant. I am not aligning you with this type, but white supremacist types are quick to say to black Americans why live in the past. It has only been 75 years in that region. I appreciate your commenting Andrew. I would hope that I am not too close minded to put myself in someone else's shoes.
