There is no difference between a middle aged woman dating an 18-22 year old and an middle aged man. They both have a predatory element to the relationship. It is one thing to have a one night stand or casual sex and another to suck an inexperienced just out of childhood young adult into a relationship. Most understand sex by these ages, and none are going to jail for it.

However, there should be a mature and unselfish consideration when it is someone trying to have a relationship with kids this young. They are rarely independent, do not have much life experience, can be more easily manipulated by older men or women, and their brains are still growing.

A middle aged person should leave them to their own age range of five years or so. I guess someone can always find a rare incident where it works out, but statistics show the relationships almost always end with the younger person figuring out they wasted their time.

In my view, both parties wanting sex is one thing, dating and marrying is something else.
