The pastor is wrong. The organized church is what has been wrong with Christianity in the West for Fifteen hundred years. Who do Christians really believe Jesus was speaking about if not the church and church goers when he is said to have stated:

"Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity." Matthew 7: 22-23.

How about this one:

“Howbeit the most High dwelleth not in temples made with hands; as saith the prophet." Acts 7:48

Church is the problem. Not the solution. Church is a business and political lobbying organizations, not a spiritual place. Not only is church the problem, but those who attend it and get caught up in it's faux morality and tradition. I have yet to meet a Christian who did not and still does not support, Donald Trump.
