That is just what Christians think it says. In the absence of the breathed originals to compare translations to, Christians actually have nothing but a bunch of man made fairy tales they made up from incomplete manuscripts that do not all say the same thing. No doubt about what you believe if you look at various English translations, but the word of god they are not.
