Thank you for the response. I know of whom I am speaking when I mention, the American Christian church. I was part of the, "the church" however you want to define it whether the body of believers or the organized business model they call church. The organized church and those humans who have been part of it shares quite a bit of responsibility for misogyny, racism, slavery, white supremacy, imperialism, war, and abuse.

The problem with Christians, especially those who attend church is they want it both ways. They believe they are entitled to inflict themselves on society and individuals by calling it Evangelism but will cry persecution when they are told to back off or challenged for some of their whacky beliefs. Quite a few of them do not even study the Bibles they claim to believe or study them selectively.

When the organized church had power, and this includes in America, it forced it down the throat of society and humans being by coercion, nepotism, torture and execution.

No one I know are expecting perfection from the organized church, Christians, or any other organization.

What some to expect is to be left alone, and for the church and those organizations to own where they screwed up. If the American church is going to involve itself where it does not belong such as politics and making money, they should expect not only push back, but activism to castrate their former power and influence.
