Tessa,

As someone whose writing have admired since I have been on Medium, I greatly appreciate your comments.

You make excellent points and usual. Keep in mind, my article is only touching on the overall subject of those who want revolution. The examples I used were to support this premise to both sides of the issue because the conflict in Israel and Gaza is in the public eye.

President Grant touched on a universal truth, humans are born with the right to revolt, but when they do it, they had best win or be at the mercy of the victors.

I could as easily write about American involvement in Central, South America or Ukraine. On a personal note, my primary concern if for the vulnerable in America, not globally.

Even if I do have empathy for certain situations in other nations, it is the height of hypocrisy to not take care of your own house and then pretend to tell others in other nations how they should tend to theirs or give to other homes when you do not take care of the needy in your own.

As for buying planes and the military industrial complex, that is actually a problem. I do not support the war machine. That lot are a bunch of war mongering psychopathic killers as are their supporters in politics.

Having said that, I do believe American can and should play a role in trying to find a common ground to seek peace in that region.
