She was the governor of South Carolina the home of one of the main Fire Eaters, and birth of Southern Secession. You can believe she has known most of the arguments for years. She knows a large portion of her base are Southern Baptist nationalist types, racist, Fascist, and whack jobs like her.

She is not uneducated, she one of the most vile type of politicians who overthinks the lies they tell to accommodate as many voters as possible. You can rest assured she knows Israel history well because her being elected counts on it.
