Respectfully, I believe an article about this would have been more interesting than the terrible slogan, because it offers both a study and a possible solution to a society of over aggression.

I believe American culture and its warped cult of masculinity has been and remains violent, but that is not because of men as a gender, it is because it has been social indoctrination.

It does not make excuses for hating and entire gender or saying that overall men are trash. This it little different than saying, overall blacks are criminals, women are bitches, gays are out for your children, or Asians are not creative. These vile false accusations were all perpetrated by people with a personal agenda and hate as most slogans are.

It is good that you are young and tackling these tough subjects. I encourage you to keep writing and searching. I believe we are on the same page in being in support of the vulnerable.
