The real question is why do people cheat. Closeted LGBTQ aside, men are cheating with women when they cheat. I have been married for almost 34 years, and it still feels like dating. I had plenty of casual sex prior to that, and would not have married if that is still what I was looking for.

My experience is women cheat as much as men do. For every self centered warped masculinity asshole male, I have seen a woman who knows they are married and hook up with them anyway. Those women do not care about their fellow women sitting home while they cheat, they want what they want.

You nailed it about men being clueless about women's health issues. My view is when it comes to human sexuality humans are cruel, if not sadistic. Especially in a culture like America which worships self above all else. America is a cult of faux and violent masculinity. No doubt about that one.
