My father was a historian, with a law degree. I have read too much history. I agree with you that violence usually makes things worse initially. The French Revolution is a good example, but violence does solve the problem of two sides that cannot get along. I do not like the radical right or the radical left. Legislation seems feckless. Ban this, burn that, outlaw this, outlaw that. I do not see a way out of that sort of thinking that is peaceful. My personal choice would be a peaceful revolution to overturn the corporate state, but I would not want a tyrannical and vindictive replacement.
