Most of these Christian types are not true scholars. Even the ones who go to years of Christian schools are whacky. This is what happens when you study a single subject, and exclude other perspectives. One of the marks of Fundamentalism is to eschew formal education or anything that causes you to question what you are being sold. They love to go on about good old hillbilly preachers being more godly. It is an old grift.
