It may be at stake but none of those running for office have any intention of doing battle against what causes the autocracy and that is Corporate America, Capitalism, and the lust for money at all cost. Whoever wins will remain firmly under the influence of their donors. A Republican Capitalist is no different than a Democratic Capitalist. The bottom line is always the bottom line. Working Americans the vulnerable are fucked.
