Interesting perspective. What you are describing is a hookup or a one night stand. In my view, as long there was real consent, there was no rape. Your article did make me think about a couple of things.

1. I do not believe anyone should expect the truth about getting laid by a stranger. Safety, and protection should be considered before a hook up. I have no moral issues with hookups, and had my share, but they are not the safest way to have sex.

You never truly know who you are having sex with. I am absolutely not saying anyone deserved to be lied to, but they should not expect the truth. It is sort of like, a guy promising not to cum inside.

2. Who chooses to sleep with someone because they are a professional footballer? This sounds like an ulterior motive from the woman. Hookups are a flip of the coin. How about a woman who lies to her future husband about her past? Is this similar?

One of the best articles I ever read on rape was written by an author, Samantha Field. She was raped in a Christian school she attended and they gave her the boot instead of the guy. She has a blog. A must read on this subject.
