I study and write about this often. Because of the way the West and especially America studies the Civil War, the average human would think the Southern United States is the only area you would find white supremacists. People of color know different.

There is no doubt white supremacy was a main identity of Southern culture since the beginning, but the thing is, the rest of the United States was also white supremacists from the beginning. America was founded on the caste of whiteness.

Slavery may not have been prevalent up North, but they still had sweatshop slavery, immigrant abuse, abuse of women, child labor, unfair courts owned by the upper caste, wiping out Native Americans, etc.

A few years back the Klan was mostly destroyed in the deep South with the exceptions of Texas because of the lynching of young black child in Alabama. The government broke them economically.

It is no wonder they they decided to find the areas of the North or West to promote their hate. Hopefully we as a nation will finally break that group completely. In my view, they are terrorists.
