I Refuse to Grieve on Command

Why feeling indifferent to the deaths of rich people in the Titan is not evil

For centuries when one of the elite in the upper caste have been killed or die, those in the lower castes are expected to grieve on command by propaganda and public pressure. In America our news is just the mouthpiece for the upper caste, so the situation with those who died in the irresponsible trip in the Titan, is another media orgy for dollars.

The Titan expedition was a corporate venture, taken by elites who were wasting a quarter of a million dollars to view the remains of another ocean accident that killed 1,500 people. It is funny that none of the people chiding some of us for not caring enough, did not lift an eyebrow to some rich fuck trying to profit from an underwater tour of a famous gravesite of the victims of the Titanic disaster.

To those who say this is not being empathetic, or worse, evil for being indifferent to the deaths of the super wealthy, I say, who are you to say? Why should the rest of us sympathize or care about the deaths of a few wealthy people who most certainly do not give two shits about the misery and death of working or vulnerable people. In fact, most wealth in the West was made off the backs of those who are expected to feel terrible about the passengers of the Titan dying.
