I have to disagree on this point, but I agree with the article over all. Especially the point about status symbols. I grew up around ultra wealthy people. Both of my grandfathers and father were self made wealthy.

In my experience, you will be hard pressed to get real wealthy people to talk to others about anything money related, especially advice unless it is very general. Most keep all their cards to their chest. Quite a few rich people were born into it, were predisposed by temperament, or had help.

I would say real success is doing fine with money, but with great relationships with your family and friends.

Out of the many wealthy people I know personally, none have good relationships with their children, and most have been married multiple times. It is hard to love both money and people.
