I am not an atheist which would mean, I believe I know there is no God. I am open to the concept of a God, but I require such a great being to not have human attributes such as jealousy, anger, vindictiveness, cruelty, or torture. Above all, I am not going to take anyone's word for something so important, I will require proof. Humans are just out of the caves, and still mostly afraid of the dark and death. What better way use human insecurity to make a buck and control them than by religion. Especially monotheistic religions from the Middle East.
