I do not give it ten years. We already hate each other and no longer see a middle ground. We are one bloody incident away from the entire thing coming apart.; something that creates a mass hysteria. Once the masses no longer feel safe and lose their fear of cops, it will get ugly. The American collapse will be chaotic carnage. It is something that be feared, but as Teddy Roosevelt once said, "Americans learn only from catastrophe and not from experience."
