My main issue with the European system I admittedly have observed from afar is having government officials telling you how to live your life, what to think, and jailing for you for questioning certain things or saying certain things.

They have thought crime laws in Europe and America is starting it also trying to add them. I am thinking of that father who wanted to bring his child to America in an attempt to save him from dying from a form of cancer and the English minister of health disallowing this.

I realize it is not Europe, but Canada confiscated people's bank accounts for protesting. If we could fix things like this and get all the good points from the European system I would fully support it. No doubt the European system of government works much better in many ways.
