Christianity is Not Moral or Kind
The book Christians call their authority is full of evil
I often see it written by some Christians about real Christian values. I often see this same thing said by some atheist who call Christians hypocrites for not living up to the kind words of Jesus. The sad fact is, actual Christian values as taught in the Bible, are the real problem.
In case you wonder why the West has been plagued by the Christian church’s cruelty, misogyny, congregational abuse, sexual abuse, child abuse, slavery, war, racism, abuse of the LGBTQ community, here are a few examples of where they get it, and why they have promoted it throughout history.
The Bible and Christians are fine with beating your children with a rod
“Whoever spares the rod hates his son,
but he who loves him is diligent to discipline him”-Proverbs 13:24, ESV
The Bible teaches inflicting pain on women is from God, and for husbands to rule over their wives
“To the woman he (God) said, “I will surely multiply your pain in childbearing; in pain you shall bring forth children. Your desire shall be contrary to your husband, but he shall rule over you.”
