I am torn on this and your article is well written, but it seems to me at some point the trans community like every other vulnerable group are going to have to decide which battles are worth fighting. Not everyone who is an ally is going to think like you, speak like you, or use language every single person in whatever community is comfortable with. Expecting this is expecting too much.

Attempting to attack them, cancel them, alienate them, or ruin them when they are in every other way an ally seems silly to me. Alienating people based on minor gaffe seems like a losing strategy. The trans community will need all the allies they can muster to battle the Fascists taking over some states or possibly winning the presidency again.

Ana is a woman, why not show her the same courtesy on how she wishes to be identified as the trans community is asking the rest of society to show them? I am not a huge Ana fan or anything, but this one seems like a small battle to me.

I cannot even imagine how rightfully offended most women would be if a man referred to them a person who menstruates in whatever context. The Fascists are outfoxing many on the left by taking up these talking points while causing division among the ranks.

We need our numbers and influence to remain in solidarity to fight the right wingers. I fully support the trans community so this potential division is disturbing to me.
