"American men" is a generality like most of these sorts of conversations about the genders and dating. I know plenty of American men and women who do not have issues.

My experience with folks who continually have issues in the dating scene regardless of the gender, it they mostly bring them on themselves.

They tend to hold unrealistic standards that few human can match, they yammer on about boorish things like politics on dates, or are unrealistic with what they bring to the table other than sex.
